The league constitution for the Birmingham Football League (previously the Birmingham AFA) has been shared with member clubs today and sees Castlecroft Rangers placed in Division 2 after winning Division 4 during last term. This is a big step up for a that finished it’s first season at the very foot of the Kidderminster Saturday Premier League and is testament to the hard work of manger/president/goalkeeper Max Woodhouse.

It is certainly looking like it will be a challenging season for the Crofters who lost just three times last time out. It will also be the debut season at the new ground and home of Wolves United, Prestwood Stadium on the Prestwood Road West. We extend a warm welcome to any visitors during the course of the season (one particular from Tony’s non league forum if he dare) and the good news is I can’t guarantee the football but I can guarantee the bar will be open.
